As a Senior Visual Designer at PHOENIX, you will play a crucial role in a variety of projects. You are expected to represent depth in the craft of visual and communication design, leveraging your expertise in shaping brand identities and overseeing full brand implementation, designing graphics for packaging, creating workbooks and publications, illustrating design report, designing exhibition, and events graphics and developing user interfaces. Your diverse skill set will be essential in driving our innovative projects and delivering exceptional visual experiences. In your designer role, you are at the height of your craft, and able to build all that you dare imagine. As project lead, you are expert at setting up and managing challenging interdisciplinary projects and clients with zeal, originality and resourcefulness. With your mature personality you come across as considered, balanced and emotionally robust, making you an inspiring adviser in professional and personal matters.

  • establish creative direction and visual identity system for internal and external projects.
  • develop a brand that stands out from the competition and resonates with the target audience.
  • lead visual design strategy, positioning, data visualisation and typefaces for advertising and communication.  
  • turn purpose and strategy into aspirational stories through visuals, writing, and other media.
  • collaborate with designers with different backgrounds such as design strategists, industrial designers, and design researchers to develop a holistic design for our clients.
  • support the team with guidance for visual expression.
  • build narratives and presentations that wow clients.  
  • 5+ years of industry work experience as a visual designer or similar title, preferably in an international design agency or prominent in-house design setting
  • in-depth knowledge of graphic and UI design principles.
  • solid understanding of leveraging visual mindset and your excellent craft skills to express brand and product identity.
  • keen sense for details and outstanding visual design skills, using Adobe CC, Figma or Sketch, or other visual- and interaction-design tools.  
  • natural presence, healthy ambition and high emotional intelligence.  
  • convincing critical thinking, outstanding creativity and excellent presentation skills
  • experience and passion for photography would be a plus.  
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English.
