Stuttgart, Germany — 08/04/2025— On a crisp and energising morning, PHOENIX opened the doors of its Stuttgart design studio to host “PHOENIX and Friends”, a special gathering celebrating the power of collaboration, cross-industry networking and the beauty of shared ideas. The event brought together a vibrant mix of executives, long-time partners, colleagues, and creative minds for an intimate and inspiring experience.
The morning was opened by Andreas Diefenbach, Managing Partner at PHOENIX, who welcomed the guests with a personal tour through the office and model shop — the heart of creation at PHOENIX. It set the tone for a day focused not on formalities but on authenticity and human connection. "Design today is not merely about aesthetics or functionality," reflected Andreas Diefenbach during his welcome address. "It's about actively shaping the Zukunftsgeist — the spirit of tomorrow. At PHOENIX, we're privileged to work with forward-thinking brands that don't just respond to change but boldly move ahead to create it. Our partnerships are about co-creating futures that inspire and elevate human experience across industries."
One of the event’s highlights was athought-provoking exercise led by Dr. Frederik G. Pferdt, former ChiefInnovation Evangelist at Google and author of Radikal Besser. Dr. Pferdtinvited the audience into a moment of shared reflection on the value of collaboration in today’s dynamic world. His hands-on approach reminded attendees that creativity often flourishes through interaction, not instruction.
Adding a unique sensory dimension to the morning, Dominik Maier, founder of nunc. coffee, demonstrated the craftsmanship behind his coffee machine — a design experience in itself. As the rich aroma of fresh brews filled the studio, conversations flowed effortlessly, bridging industries, disciplines, and perspectives.
The event was intentionally informal: presentations, no panels, just people connecting — over coffee, ideas, and shared purpose. From design executives to innovation leaders and creative entrepreneurs, attendees embraced the open-house atmosphere to explore meaningful interactions beyond business cards.
In a gesture of gratitude, each guest left with asigned copy of Radikal Besser, a parting gift from Dr. Pferdt and PHOENIX — a reminder that better, more connected futures are possible when wecome together with openness and curiosity.
