Stuttgart, 9 July 2019: Phoenix Design won the highest award in competition Red Dot 2019: best of the best with its design of hansgrohe Rainfinity and Trumpf Track&Trace. The awarding ceremony took place at 8 July 2019 in the Aalto theatre in Essen, Germany including the hand-over of the title of honor "Red Dot: Design Team of the Year".
Phoenix Design was honoured with one "Red Dot Award 2019: best of the best" each for designing the shower collection Rainfinity by hansgrohe and the localisation system Track&Trace by high-technology company TRUMPF. The international jurors evaluated the products according to strict criteria, comprising e.g. degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and longevity. Among more than 5,500 submissions, merely 80 products received the accolade of "Red Dot: best of the best" – and only Phoenix Design has been successful twice in this category.

About the Red Dot Design Award:
In order to be able to professionally judge the many facets of design, the Red Dot Design Award is differentiated into the three disciplines of Red Dot Award: Product Design, Red Dot Award: Communication Design, and Red Dot Award: Design Concept. The Red Dot Award is one of the largest design competitions worldwide. In 1955, a panel of jurors convened for the first time in order to evaluate the best designs at the time. In the 1990s, Red Dot CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec developed the name and the brand of the award. Since then, the coveted "Red Dot" award has become the internationally renowned seal for outstanding design quality. More information at www.red-dot.de.
