Our new intern trio

The boundaries are fluid. Every six months, the team structure at Phoenix Design changes. On the one hand, this is due to the gap left by past interns, on the other hand, it is due to the new input - which everyone brings with their own skillset, experiences, and personalities.

  • Our goal is to support the talents in the best possible way, to show them new perspectives, and to shape and support their personal development. But why do students decide to do an internship at Phoenix Design? What are their expectations and what thoughts do you bring to our design teams?

We wanted to find out more from our three new interns at Studio Stuttgart and asked them a few questions at the beginning of their internship. May we introduce you?

Sophie Vollmer is studying interaction design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The focus of her degree program is on user-centered work, user research, and user experience with intuitive user interfaces. What she hopes for most from her internship at Phoenix Design is a strong connection to reality: "I'm hoping for more insights into prototyping and I'm looking forward to not only having a hypothetical concept at hand but also to test it extensively, as that unfortunately suffered a lot during my studies at Corona."

This year we have two bachelor's interns from interaction design and a master's student, Timo Miura, from product design at FH Joanneum in Graz. The focus of this course is Eco-Innovative Design and thus forms an important, sustainable foundation for future design processes. In addition to consolidating already learned "hard skills", Timo places particular emphasis on expanding his soft skills in the everyday design environment.

Pham-Tina Nguyen is studying Media & Interaction Design at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences with a focus on user-centered design thinking, the conceptualization of ideas, and user research. What she finds particularly positive about this degree program is the interdisciplinary exchange with other degree programs and the resulting diverse insights into areas such as animation, motion design, and psychology.

We are looking forward to working with our new talents too many shared experiences in projects and everyday office life - because the fresh energy and impulses that our interns bring with them are an important part of our Phoenix spirit. Welcome on board!
